Coriolis Meters

Coriolis meters measure the mass rate of any fluid flowing through the metering system using the Coriolis effect. Because the meters are also capable of accurately measuring fluid density, volume can be calculated and used for the custody transfer measurement of any liquid hydrocarbon. Coriolis meters can be used on gas or liquid without any meter modification.

Turbine Meters

Turbine flow-meter are best used when measuring clean, steady, high-speed flow of low-viscosity fluids. In comparison to other flow-meters, the turbine flow-meter has a significant cost advantage over ultrasonic flow-meters, especially in the larger line sizes, and it also has a favorable price compared to the prices of PD flow-meters, especially in cases where one turbine meter can replace several PD meters.

Liquid Ultrasonic Meter

Ultrasonic flow meters are a non‐intrusive technology providing volumetric measurement. These meters are ideal for bi‐ directional measurement providing a high level of accuracy in both directions. Because the meters utilize no moving parts there is reduced pressure loss and operating costs.

Positive Displacement Meters

Positive displacement (PD) flow meters measure the volumetric flow rate of a moving fluid or gas by dividing the media into fixed, metered volumes (finite increments or volumes of the fluid). A basic analogy would be holding a bucket below a tap, filling it to a set level, then quickly replacing it with another bucket and timing the rate at which the buckets are filled (or the total number of buckets for the “totalized” flow). With appropriate pressure and temperature compensation, the mass flow rate can be accurately determined.
